BRITISH MASTERS RANKINGS, RATINGS AND COURSE INfO
Below are my top 25 vs the field rankings and ratings for the British Masters, taking place at the Brabazon course at the Belfry, starting early on Wednesday. Further down I have all relevant course information for the Belfry and a heads up on a few fancies this week. My tissue odds (below) are compiled generally late Sunday or early on Monday's / before the actual markets are made or settle

The Brabazon course is a tightish treelined parklands with twisty fairways. Emphasis is on tee to green and keeping the ball in play. Premium will be on iron play and proximity to the hole from approaches. I expect the scoring to be pretty low.

The Belfry course profile from my manual
Last year this track hosted the UK Championship in bad weather, and despite strong winds in stretches the scoring was relatively decent given the rain softening the greens. I have the surfaces down as bentgrass in my course fit profiling manual but I think they might be a cross between Poa and creeping bentgrass, I'm not sure on that one and the European tour website is an absolute bag of sh!te in this day and age re course information

Sam Horsfield is the guy I like at the top end of the market at around 20/1 each way. Taking the extra places on this type of price re Sam in this kind of field will often yield a freeroll. I don't feel there's a lot between Sam, MacIntyre and Kaymer in the battle for favouritism here.
At the other end of the scale I like the quotes as high as 200/1 EW on Robin Sciot-Siegrist. He is showing progressive form now of t22, t12 on the Canary Islands swing and has a lot of potential which is already proven at Challenge Tour level. He won on a similar style track at Galgorm Castle. A fast start for Siegrist here wouldn't be a surprise and he is 125/1 ew in the 1st round leader market or 7/1 top 20 if you prefer the sub markets. He actually opened 250 ew 1/5th 10 places with the this week's host - Betfred.......
