Pebble Beach Pro am 2021 golf tips - More like no am

Pebble Beach Proam Tips
Dustin Johnson is expected to gain around 5 strokes re course fit at the Pebble Beach Pro Am
The Pebble beach pro am gets underway this year but with a twist. There will be no amateur players and two courses will be used in the rotation rather than 3. This actually sets the event up well as we'll see tougher pin positions than the norm

The screenshot directly beneath shows Dustin Johnson's course fit profile and the key metric premiums and weightings for the Pebble Beach course using my course fit model. The target player profile here as you can see is someone strong with the irons and who excels in the scrambling department. Wind and poa annua positive, and a little local knowledge goes a long way too.

What is expected Strokes Gained Course Fit ?

Bryan pioneered the concept of Expected Strokes Gained Course Fit (xSGF) in golf betting. xSGF can be predicted using my model below. For prospective golf betting tips it projects ahead of time how many shots a player is expected to pick up per round on average on a particular golf course. It's weighed against a neutral golf course of the same rating.

What is Progressive Form in Golf Betting?

Progressive form in golf betting differs from current form in that players are showing a trend in the right direction in their recent scoring. Trending form has a high predictive value in golf betting and can also catch players under the radar at an inflated price vs their true betting odds.
