2011 Nordea Scandinavian Masters Picks

Nordea Scandinavian Masters Picks
Pick 1: Alexander Noren E/W @ 28/1 (pp) | First round leader @ 33/1 (Bet365) Home support behind, fast starter and early tee time with featured grouping alongside Watson and Stenson could see Noren thrive. Current form is decent and could be ready to challenge again after victory in Wales.

Pick 2: Fredrik Andersson Hed E/W @ 40/1 (Bet365) Streaky Andersson Hed placed 2nd in Scotland and was a feature over the first couple of days in the Open. Tied for 11th at the Nordea Scandinavian Masters last year, out with Dustin Johnson and Robert Karlsson and again, will have the support of the home crowd.

Pick 3: Romain Wattel E/W @ 66/1 (general) Wattel has really come up under the radar this year and is 1 of a few young potential French stars. Returned to form in the Scottish Open, on my 'one to watch' list and big price this week at the Nordea Masters.

Pick 2: Michael Jonzon E/W @ 70/1 (general) | First round leader @ 60/1 (Bet365) Continuing the theme of home players this week, Jonzon's chances are not rated very highly. The big Swede has been on a good run of form, can shoot low and knows how to win.

Pick 5: Christian Nilsson E/W @ 100/1 (general) Another under rated and under fancied home player this week. Regular feature on leaderboards last season and coming into form this year off the back of three top 40's in a row. Again, will benefit from the home support.

Note: If you're betting E/W, take advantage of Bet365's offer up to £200 in free bets to use on this week's Nordea Masters.

What is expected Strokes Gained Course Fit ?

Bryan pioneered the concept of Expected Strokes Gained Course Fit (xSGF) in golf betting. xSGF can be predicted using my model below. For prospective golf betting tips it projects ahead of time how many shots a player is expected to pick up per round on average on a particular golf course. It's weighed against a neutral golf course of the same rating.

Golf Betting Tips Model

Input up to date player and course data (from the upcoming course fit manual 2024) into this interactive golf betting model. My course fit profiling model for golf betting tips uses highly evolved golf nuance and betting intuition, precise parameters and inputs based on Bayesian analysis, plus years of empirical evidence through observing, betting and documenting golf and stats.

What is Progressive Form in Golf Betting?

Progressive form in golf betting differs from current form in that players are showing a trend in the right direction in their recent scoring. Trending form has a high predictive value in golf betting and can also catch players under the radar at an inflated price vs their true betting odds.
