Open De Andalucia Picks

2011 Open De Andalucia Picks:

IMPORTANT: A Betfair betting account is vital to make the bigger profits in golf betting. See my golf trading section here.

Pick 1: Chris Wood E/W @ 33/1 (SB) Very short course for this week's Open De Andalucia and Wood, off the back of a good tournament last week can use his total driving ability (long and straight) to his advantage.

Pick 2: Jamie Donaldson E/W @ 33/1 (general) Course form from last year's Open De Andalucia and a good performance last week as well. A player that has been very close in the last year or so without winning just like last week's winner Jacquelin and can draw inspiration.....

Pick 3: Richard Green E/W @ 35/1 (general) Takes my fancy at this week's Open De andalucia mainly for the length of the course, playing under 7,000 yards. Green's game is all about accuracy and good putting and he should feature.

Pick 4: Alejandro Canizares E/W @ 55/1 (general) All Spanish eyes will be on favs Jiminez and Quiros at the Open De Andalucia but watch out for the streaky Alejandro Canizares who returned to form last week. Fantastic putter and should get plenty of birdie opportunities on this golf course.

Pick 5: Oliver wilson E/W @ 45/1 (general) Played superbly at the Tavistock Cup last week and will maybe peak at next week's European Tour event but can't avoid such a big price.

Pick 6: Nicolas Colsaerts E/W @ 40/1 (general) Picked for the same reasons as Chris Wood, can over power the course at the Open De Andalucia and in good current form. If the putter is hot, he should be up there.

What is expected Strokes Gained Course Fit ?

Bryan pioneered the concept of Expected Strokes Gained Course Fit (xSGF) in golf betting. xSGF can be predicted using my model below. For prospective golf betting tips it projects ahead of time how many shots a player is expected to pick up per round on average on a particular golf course. It's weighed against a neutral golf course of the same rating.

Golf Betting Tips Model

Input up to date player and course data (from the upcoming course fit manual 2024) into this interactive golf betting model. My course fit profiling model for golf betting tips uses highly evolved golf nuance and betting intuition, precise parameters and inputs based on Bayesian analysis, plus years of empirical evidence through observing, betting and documenting golf and stats.

What is Progressive Form in Golf Betting?

Progressive form in golf betting differs from current form in that players are showing a trend in the right direction in their recent scoring. Trending form has a high predictive value in golf betting and can also catch players under the radar at an inflated price vs their true betting odds.
