CIMB Classic and BMW Masters Tips

Two limited fields this week for the CIMB Classic and BMW Masters and full previews can be found as usual on my Unibet column later in the week. Tips and staking plans were sent out to members on Monday and all prices quoted on the spreadsheet (scroll to bottom) are from the emails - this weeks tips. Remember Bet365 are offering £200 in free bets for new customers to use on this event

I've two pretty strong fancies at the BMW Masters, especially for Betfair trading purposes and four (IMO) big overpriced players. At the CIMB Classic I only have just 3 long odds outright ew tips, all of whom warmed up last week after some time off, but I've gone for a different angle in the main: With many of the elite US players having been on some quiet time and also taking the long flight over into consideration, I've focused on some of the players who've been going well on the more local, lesser tours. They may not be in the same caliber but all are playing well and / or capable of going low on any given day and I'm hoping they can capitalise early on and bring some returns in the first round leader market. See spreadsheet for tips.

What is expected Strokes Gained Course Fit ?

Bryan pioneered the concept of Expected Strokes Gained Course Fit (xSGF) in golf betting. xSGF can be predicted using my model below. For prospective golf betting tips it projects ahead of time how many shots a player is expected to pick up per round on average on a particular golf course. It's weighed against a neutral golf course of the same rating.

Golf Betting Tips Model

Input up to date player and course data (from the upcoming course fit manual 2024) into this interactive golf betting model. My course fit profiling model for golf betting tips uses highly evolved golf nuance and betting intuition, precise parameters and inputs based on Bayesian analysis, plus years of empirical evidence through observing, betting and documenting golf and stats.

What is Progressive Form in Golf Betting?

Progressive form in golf betting differs from current form in that players are showing a trend in the right direction in their recent scoring. Trending form has a high predictive value in golf betting and can also catch players under the radar at an inflated price vs their true betting odds.
