Olympic football team specials

The Olympic football starts today and I have a few more eye catching bets to point out in the team goal scorer markets. You can see my full outright preview here. Uruguay kick off today against the UAE and Bet365 are extremely generous on the chances of Cavani or Suarez being leading goal scorer for their team. Both are priced at 11/4 and dutching the two will get you a price of 1.88. That represents huge value as it's hard to see both being outdone.

Watching the GB warmup match v Brazil, Daniel Sturridge was given a lone role up top and looked isolated. If Pearce is to adopt the same tactics with the likes of Bellamy stuck out on the wing, Sturridge is a very good bet to be GB top scorer and William Hill are top industry price in this market @ 7/2.

Neymar will be on penalty duty for Brazil and Leandro seems to have got the nod to play up top, leaving Pato on the bench. This may change over the course of the tournament however, leaving both with less game time while Hulk will operate largely on the flanks. Neymar will be predominantly central and looks top value at 11/4 with Bet365 to be top Brazil scorer. It's 14/1 the double of Sturridge and Neymar with the same firm and that looks worth a small investment.

Last but not least, Bluesquare go a generous 12/1 on Juan Mata top scoring for Spain. Possibly on penalty duty, Mata will adopt the role he used to play for Valencia where he was lethal. Not a great scoring year for Chelsea last season but I fancy him to recapture form of old at the Olympics and he looks a live runner at a big price.

If you fancy some free bets on the Olympics, William Hill offer a free £25 bet on signup while Bet365 offer up to £200 for new customers.

What is expected Strokes Gained Course Fit ?

Bryan pioneered the concept of Expected Strokes Gained Course Fit (xSGF) in golf betting. xSGF can be predicted using my model below. For prospective golf betting tips it projects ahead of time how many shots a player is expected to pick up per round on average on a particular golf course. It's weighed against a neutral golf course of the same rating.

Golf Betting Tips Model

Input up to date player and course data (from the upcoming course fit manual 2024) into this interactive golf betting model. My course fit profiling model for golf betting tips uses highly evolved golf nuance and betting intuition, precise parameters and inputs based on Bayesian analysis, plus years of empirical evidence through observing, betting and documenting golf and stats.

What is Progressive Form in Golf Betting?

Progressive form in golf betting differs from current form in that players are showing a trend in the right direction in their recent scoring. Trending form has a high predictive value in golf betting and can also catch players under the radar at an inflated price vs their true betting odds.
