Euro 2012 Top Russian Scorer - Roman Shirokov

Shirokov is one I've been touting for quite a while on Twitter and mentioned him on the blog the other week. A huge danger with his late runs into the box, sharp eye for goal and finishing ability, Shirokov is a regular scorer for both club and country. Four goals in recent friendlies for Russia and Irish fans may remember he netted the winner against us in the 3-2 deafeat at the Aviva. He also scored five goals in the Champions League from midfield for Zenit this year, including braces against Benfica and Porto. Competition for places up front may also mean less game time for his competition.
