Champions League - Benfica v Zenit Tips
Zenit come into this Champions League fixture only needing a draw to advance to the next phase of the competition but for me, they're not a team capable of playing for a point. Benfica will come at them fast from the start and if they get an early breakthrough, this game will be a cracker. Zenit have kept only one clean sheet in their last 11 in all competitions away from home while Benfica have scored 14 in their last five at home, including two in a 2:3 reverse against big rivals Porto in the league last Friday and will be looking to bounce back.
Hitman Oscar Cardozo scored a brace in the Porto game and also netted in the reverse fixture and he will the the man Benfica look to tonight. One goal and Benfica will have the egde on Zenit due to two away goals. For Zenit, they are generally set up to attack and come into the game off the back of a 2-2 away draw to CSKA where Kershakov also landed a brace. Danny will continue to be a big miss for them in creative areas. There's one name though that consistently pops up on the scoresheet in big games at big prices for Zenit and that's Roman Shirokov. Again, a brace in the reverse fixture and also netted for Russia in the recent international break and he's one I have my eye on at 6/1 on Betfair to score anytime.
