Northern Trust Open R4: 1pt Ryan Moore @ 40.0. Moore has been out of the picture for about 18 months of indifferent form, hence the big price at just 3 shots back. Notable course form and well suited to Riviera, Moore has posted 3 progressively better rounds thus far. If the trend continues, he will be contending down the stretch tonight.

Trading pointer: Place 1 unit on Moore @ 40.0 and look to trade out late in the round if he gets into the mix.

AT&T Pebble Beach:
Round 1 market leader trade: Dustin Johnson (24.0), a master of Pebble Beach, starts early on Thursday morning on said course. Has shot many low rounds here and another would see his price come in to single figures. If he goes well, the plan is to cover liabilities after R1 for a free bet or trade completely if price goes below 5.0. Advised stake: 1.5units. Update: Johnson did indeed get off to a fabulous start and now (Fri morning) trades as low as 4.4 leaving us with a more than healthy profit.

What is expected Strokes Gained Course Fit ?

Bryan pioneered the concept of Expected Strokes Gained Course Fit (xSGF) in golf betting. xSGF can be predicted using my model below. For prospective golf betting tips it projects ahead of time how many shots a player is expected to pick up per round on average on a particular golf course. It's weighed against a neutral golf course of the same rating.

Golf Betting Tips Model

Input up to date player and course data (from the upcoming course fit manual 2024) into this interactive golf betting model. My course fit profiling model for golf betting tips uses highly evolved golf nuance and betting intuition, precise parameters and inputs based on Bayesian analysis, plus years of empirical evidence through observing, betting and documenting golf and stats.

What is Progressive Form in Golf Betting?

Progressive form in golf betting differs from current form in that players are showing a trend in the right direction in their recent scoring. Trending form has a high predictive value in golf betting and can also catch players under the radar at an inflated price vs their true betting odds.
