Community Shield Betting Tips - A Stroll In The Park

Hello football fans, the season is finally upon us! I may be starting a football trading advisory service this year, drop me an email or a tweet to let me know if it's something you would be interested in. There's been a massive void in my life for a few months now. I didn't actually realise what it was until last week but the Community Shield is here, the annual football curtain raiser and excitement is coming back after the footballing dross that was the Copa America!

Unfortunately, as I stated on my Twitter, unless my judgement has been clouded due to the woeful football I've resorted to watching in the hope to fill the aforementioned void, the Community Shield is hardly going to be an open, free flowing footballing affair to get the juices going but it's a start! Look for two cagey teams to begin, with both Manchester UTD and Manchester City likely to play 3 across the middle of the park in the absence of Hernandez and Tevez. Often on Community Shield day, we see seriously hot weather conditions which contribute to a very slow paced game. City have been priced as high as 9/4 with 1 book to win the Community Shield in 90 mins and the value lies with them but looking elsewhere should give a better chance of a return. I think Edin Dzeko, an absolute goal machine in recent years, can step up to the plate this season and can start with a bang this week just as Berbatov did for the Reds in last years Community Shield.

What is expected Strokes Gained Course Fit ?

Bryan pioneered the concept of Expected Strokes Gained Course Fit (xSGF) in golf betting. xSGF can be predicted using my model below. For prospective golf betting tips it projects ahead of time how many shots a player is expected to pick up per round on average on a particular golf course. It's weighed against a neutral golf course of the same rating.

Golf Betting Tips Model

Input up to date player and course data (from the upcoming course fit manual 2024) into this interactive golf betting model. My course fit profiling model for golf betting tips uses highly evolved golf nuance and betting intuition, precise parameters and inputs based on Bayesian analysis, plus years of empirical evidence through observing, betting and documenting golf and stats.

What is Progressive Form in Golf Betting?

Progressive form in golf betting differs from current form in that players are showing a trend in the right direction in their recent scoring. Trending form has a high predictive value in golf betting and can also catch players under the radar at an inflated price vs their true betting odds.
