CHEVRON / NEDBANK GOLF CHALLENGE PICKS

CHEVRON WORLD CHALLENGE PICKS
Pick 1: Ian Poulter E/W @12/1 ( Bet365) Following on from last week's 50/1 winner for Nic's Picks - Robert Karlsson, over Poulter in a playoff, he will be all guns blazing to get over the disappointment quickly this week at the Chevron world challenge and on a course that plays very short and against a field that in the main is out of competitive practise, he may well do so.

Why not take advantage of Bet 365's sign up offer: Up To £200 in free bets @ Bet365 for some free bets at this week's Chevron and Nedbank golf world challenges

Pick 2: Luke Donald E/W @ 10/1 ( Bet365) Good record at the Chevron World Challenge being a previous winner(under a different name) and in fine form in Dubai last week. Short course will also suit Donald, as well as the set up.

NEDBANK GOLF CHALLENGE PICKS
Pick 1: Ross Fisher E/W @ 9/1 ( Bet365) Just missed out to allenby in last year's Nedbank Golf challenge and another of my picks last week who was going great guns until the final round. Likes the course and driving ability a big advantage.

Pick 2: Louis Oosthuizen E/W @ 14/1 ( Bet365) Another who performed well last week and will take good form back to his home country where he will be eager to impress his home fans at the Nedbank Golf challenge.

What is expected Strokes Gained Course Fit ?

Bryan pioneered the concept of Expected Strokes Gained Course Fit (xSGF) in golf betting. xSGF can be predicted using my model below. For prospective golf betting tips it projects ahead of time how many shots a player is expected to pick up per round on average on a particular golf course. It's weighed against a neutral golf course of the same rating.

Golf Betting Tips Model

Input up to date player and course data (from the upcoming course fit manual 2024) into this interactive golf betting model. My course fit profiling model for golf betting tips uses highly evolved golf nuance and betting intuition, precise parameters and inputs based on Bayesian analysis, plus years of empirical evidence through observing, betting and documenting golf and stats.

What is Progressive Form in Golf Betting?

Progressive form in golf betting differs from current form in that players are showing a trend in the right direction in their recent scoring. Trending form has a high predictive value in golf betting and can also catch players under the radar at an inflated price vs their true betting odds.
