La Liga Top Scorer 2010/11
I can't really look past the top 3 in the betting for the La Liga golden boot this season and taking the best available odds from bookmakers, you can dutch the 3 for odds of 2.18 and that is a fantastic bet for me to be top goal scorer in Spain come may...
With David Villa's move to Barcelona and playing in tandem with Messi, there are going to be a lot of goals at Camp Nou this season and barring injuries, the only real contender should be Cristiano Ronaldo for Real Madrid. Higuain was on fire for Madrid last season but in my mind, he won't have as good a season this year. He misses far too many of the easy chances. Ronaldo on the other hand, playing in a more advanced position and taking all the set pieces is an obvious danger to the 2 Barca boys.
Of the outsiders, another Barca boy I havn't mentioned yet looks great E/W odds (top 4) and that's Pedro (33/1). Flew onto the scene last year and was rewarded with a place in the spanish world cup squad. He a greedy player around the box and a top top finisher and with Zlatan likely to be used sparingly this season (if he's still there), Pedro will get a lot of playing time.
Other yearly contenders Forlan and Fabiano I think will have too much to do this year to keep up with the rest. Neither Sevilla or Atletico are as good as recent seasons past. Roberto Soldado (28/1) after his move to Valencia could be worth a shout and watch out for Villarreal this year. They have no European competition to focus on and Nilmar(33) or Rossi (40) could be decent bets for a top 4.
Selections Offering Value
Dutch Betting: Villa, Messi and Ronaldo @ 2.18
Outside Bet: Pedro E/W @ 33/1 (Bluesquare)
