COMMUNITY SHIELD - MAN UTD V CHELSEA

Man Utd v Chelsea betting tips (Community Shield August 8): The annual premier league season curtain raiser kicks off on Sunday afternoon and I havn't really been following Chelsea's pre season progress but I've been watching UTD closely and they're shaping up nicely, the latest match a mauling of an Irish league 11 just down the road....

Not too many injury worries in offensive areas and the team is gelling together nicely. The Community Shield season opener is usually a very tame affair played at a slow pace and I wouldn't be surprised to see more of the same this weekend, especially if the weather is hot come Sunday afternoon. A draw or a narrow victory for either side looks a likely outcome and I'd expect 1 of the big 3 names, Rooney, Drogba or Lampard to be key to the action. UTD to me look in decent enough shape to warrant at least being on a par with chelsea in this 1 but the sportsbooks lean on the side of Chelsea albeit UTD unsurprisingly coming in, leaving slight value with the Reds IMO.

Paddypower offer a money back special on this 1 if Hernandez scores the last goal.

What is expected Strokes Gained Course Fit ?

Bryan pioneered the concept of Expected Strokes Gained Course Fit (xSGF) in golf betting. xSGF can be predicted using my model below. For prospective golf betting tips it projects ahead of time how many shots a player is expected to pick up per round on average on a particular golf course. It's weighed against a neutral golf course of the same rating.

Input up to date player and course data (from the upcoming course fit manual 2024) into this interactive golf betting model. My course fit profiling model for golf betting tips uses highly evolved golf nuance and betting intuition, precise parameters and inputs based on Bayesian analysis, plus years of empirical evidence through observing, betting and documenting golf and stats.

What is Progressive Form in Golf Betting?

Progressive form in golf betting differs from current form in that players are showing a trend in the right direction in their recent scoring. Trending form has a high predictive value in golf betting and can also catch players under the radar at an inflated price vs their true betting odds.
