PREMIER LEAGUE BETTING/ LA LIGA FEB 20-21

A flying Wayne Rooney returns to his boyhood club this weekend in the English Premier League as Manchester UTD tackle an in form Everton team but the way UTD and Rooney are perfoming at the moment, off the back of a fantastic (albeit a bit lucky) win in Milan, 5/6 looks a good value betting price on them taking the scalp of the Blues. Rooney is best price 11/8 to score again so I won't be having any of that although I do fancy him.

Elsewhere in the Premier League, A woefully out of sorts Sunderland face a daunting trip to the Emirates Stadium and Chelsea have what looks an easy 3 points away to Wolves. The game of the weekend is Liverpool away to Man City but there doesn't look to be anything worth betting in that one. In La Liga, the weekend soccer betting kicks off with a derby in Deportivo as Xerez vist the Riazor, Mallorca face Sevilla in the game of the weekend in a battle for the champions league places and on Monday night, a potential goalfest takes place in Valencia as they entertain Getafe....... stay tuned for Premier league/ La Liga expert value free soccer picks...

Selection: Double - Depor vs Xerez / Wolves vs Chelsea

Bet: Deportivo/ Chelsea wins

Info: Likely to be a tight affair in Deportivo but Depor should have enough for all 3pts against La Liga's bottom side. Can't see Wolves stopping a rampant Chelsea team despite 2 good home results recently against Liverpool and spurs.

Confidence: 60% Stake: 3.5pts Odds: 11/10 Book: (general)

Selection: Everton vs Man UTD

Bet: Man UTD win

Info: Confidence high after midweek win in Milan. Rooney on fire and will want to get one over on his old club and UTD have been playing some top football away from home on the counter this year.

Confidence: 70% Stake: 4pts Odds: 5/6 Book: (Paddypower)

Selection: Wolves vs Chelsea

Bet: Corners over 10.5

Info: Chelsea's corner count on the road this year is very high and they should play a lot of the game in Wolves' third

Confidence: 75% Stake: 4pts Odds: 8/15 Book: Expekt

Selection: Zaragoza vs Gijon

Bet: Zaragoza win

Info: Zaragoza looking quite strong after a revamp in the January window. Recently looked convincing in a home win against Sevilla, one of La Liga's strongest teams. Appealing price.

Confidence: 65-70% Stake: 3.25pts Odds: 20/21 Book: Exchanges

Selection: Wigan vs Spurs

Bet: Jermaine Defoe anytime scorer

Info: Wigan will always give away chances and Defoe will be full of confidence after scoring 5 in the reverse of this fixture!

Confidence: 55% Stake: 2pts Odds: 8/5 Book: (expekt)

Selection: Valencia vs Getafe

Bet: over 2.5 goals

Info: 3-1 in the reverse fixture and should have had more goals. Likely to be an open game with Getafe not scared to push forward.

Confidence: 70% Stake: 3.75pts Odds: 4/5 Book: Exchanges

Golf Player Profiles

Please note that player attribute ratings are derived from the official PGA Tour and European Tour golf stats, and updated with a rolling average each golf betting year for precision.

Bryan Nicholson is the pioneer of the progressive form and course fit ratings for golf betting, with the associated progressive form model and course fit profiling model. Bryan is the author of the increasingly popular annual course fit profiling manual and #1 golf betting book Angles & Edges and runs the Sharp Sports Bettors Blog.

What is expected Strokes Gained Course Fit ?

Bryan also pioneered the concept of Expected Strokes Gained Course Fit (xSGF) in golf betting. xSGF can be predicted using my model below. For prospective golf betting tips it projects ahead of time how many shots a player is expected to pick up per round on average on a particular golf course. It's weighed against a neutral golf course of the same rating. For example: Sam Horsfield at Celtic Manor vs TPC Southwind. This number will also portray ability level in terms of strokes gained total. Click "find out more" under the course fit golf betting model for info.

What is Progressive Form in Golf Betting?

Progressive form in golf betting differs from current form in that players are showing a trend in the right direction in their recent scoring. Trending form has a high predictive value in golf betting and can also catch players under the radar at an inflated price vs their true betting odds. For example - a player shows form of T40 - 24 - 24, but last week he was in the leading PGA Tour group on Sunday with Tiger Woods and had a bad round due to nerves. His finishing position may not fully capture his actual form... See more with our calculators and betting tools
