Antepost Golf Season Betting 2010

PGA Tour

-2.5pts E/W Sean O' Hair PGA Tour money list winner (w/o Woods) @ 20/1 (Ladbrokes) I'm expecting a big season for the talented young American. He is 1 of the best all round players on tour and if his putting was a bit better, he'd be challenging Woods. He's done a lot of work on that part of his game though and his attitude towards his career is spot on. Expect him to feature in the majors. Antepost bet of the season.

-5pts Win Michael Sim Rookie of the year @ 5/2 (Sky Bet ) 1 look at this guys stats and you will see that he is 1 massive emerging talent. He was by far and away the best on the second American tour last year and has already mixed it with the big boys on the main tours. He's going to be a star.

European Tour

-1.5pts E/W Graeme McDowell Race To Dubai winner @ 80/1 (Boylesports) Seriously underrated player. Capable of performing on the highest stage and has a fantastic mentality. His major performances last year prove this.

-1.5pts E/W Soren Hansen Race To Dubai winner @ 80/1 (Boylesports) One of the best from tee to green in europe. If he can get the putter going, he will be right up there.

Major Performance 2010 (added @ 21:35 on 13th Jan)
-2.5pts E/W Robert Allenby @ 66/1 (Sky Bet ) odds 1/4, places 1-3 - Allenby is probably and has probably been the most consistent/best player on tour from tee to green for years. He struggled to close out tournaments in recent years due to poor putting and the baggage of not having won in such a long time. He ended that in style last season after a lot of work on his putting and I expect him to be better than ever this year. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him actually get his hands on a major trophy.

What is expected Strokes Gained Course Fit ?

Bryan pioneered the concept of Expected Strokes Gained Course Fit (xSGF) in golf betting. xSGF can be predicted using my model below. For prospective golf betting tips it projects ahead of time how many shots a player is expected to pick up per round on average on a particular golf course. It's weighed against a neutral golf course of the same rating.

Golf Betting Tips Model

Input up to date player and course data (from the upcoming course fit manual 2024) into this interactive golf betting model. My course fit profiling model for golf betting tips uses highly evolved golf nuance and betting intuition, precise parameters and inputs based on Bayesian analysis, plus years of empirical evidence through observing, betting and documenting golf and stats.

What is Progressive Form in Golf Betting?

Progressive form in golf betting differs from current form in that players are showing a trend in the right direction in their recent scoring. Trending form has a high predictive value in golf betting and can also catch players under the radar at an inflated price vs their true betting odds.
